Heathfield Retail
Park to the north of Ayr
opened in 1994. As the park was
built in the southerly reaches of a
former RAF station, it was
originally marked by a replica
Spitfire aircraft at the entrance.
The Spitfire took off during a
storm never to be seen again, only
the propeller remains.

This is an out of town shopping
complex, with diners such as Costa,
Greggs, KFC & Pizza Hut. Frankie
& Bennys and Subway are just a
few hundred yards further up the
road. More stores at the Heatfield Industrial
Estate are situated a few
hundred yards west.

Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover,
Mercedes, Hyundai, Peugeot,
Renault, Skoda, Subaru, Volvo and
