Turnberry
There are two 18-hole courses at Turnberry, the
scenic 6,976-yard par 70 Ailsa course that hosts the
British Open, and the neighbouring 6,827-yard par 72
Kintyre course. Prices for the Ailsa course range
from £55 - £175. The Kintyre course prices
range between £45 - £90. Bookings can be

Royal Troon
Booking times and prices for the awesome Royal
Troon that hosts the Open are best acquired through
the courses web site or Phone 44 (0)1292 311 555. A
rough price guide is, £210 per day that allows
one round on the 6,641 yard par 71 Royal Troon and
one round on the neighbouring Portland course with
lunch in between included. The website for the two

Prestwick Golf Club
This 6,544-yard par 71 course is one of
Scotland’s most famous links known to many as
Old Prestwick. This was the fist course to host the
Open Championship when the tournament began in 1860.
Although Old Prestwick last hosted the Open in 1925,
it is still classed as a championship course as the
amateur championship still takes place there. Prices
are about £105 per round, Sunday's £135.

Western Gailes / Irvine
The 6,639-yard par 74 Western Gailes that is used
for Open qualifying is the most testing and
well-known course in Irvine. A really challenging
links course with all holes being right next to the
sea. Standard prices are about £100 per round
and £150 per day with lunch/meal included.

Irvine Golf Club
The 6,408-yard par 71 Irvine Golf Club (Bogside),
that is the oldest in Irvine, has been used regularly
for Open qualifying. Prices for the course are about
weekdays £50 per round £60 per day,
weekends £60 per round. This is another must
play Ayrshire course as it has many memorable holes.

Darley / Troon
The 6,360-yard par 71 Darley is situated in Troon.
Prices per week day are about £19, weekends
£26. Day tickets to play Darley and one of the
neighbouring courses, the 6,822-yard par 74 Lochgreen
or the 4,869 yard Fullarton can be priced by phoning
01292 312 464. Six round passes for any of eight
South Ayrshire municipal courses cost about £88.
The extremely popular Darley and Lochgreen are
testing links courses at a great price. More

Kilmarnock Barassie / Troon
Although named ‘Kilmarnock’ this
excellent 6,484-yard par 72 course is actually
situated on the outskirts of Troon to the north.
Visitors pay about £65 per round weekdays or
£75 Sunday's. Winter prices are about £30
per round. This club also has a top class 9 hole
course that allows 27 hole golf. Bookings can be made

Gailes Links / Irvine
Gailes Links is situated to the south of Irvine
centre in the Gailes area. This 6,513 yard par 71
course is highly rated by visitors. Prices are
weekdays about £60 per round, £75 per day,
weekends £70 per round in the afternoon. Winter

St Nicholas / Prestwick
The 5,952-yard par 69 St Nicholas Golf Club is
open to non-members for a fee of around £55 per
round or £65 per day weekdays, Sunday's £60

West Kilbride
The 6,452-yard par 71 West Kilbride is situated
off Fullarton Drive Seamill/West Kilbride. Prices for
visitors on weekdays only are about £40 per
round and £50 per day. This is a fine looking
golf course with excelent facilities, also, with all
holes being next to the sea, there are great views of
